Driver calls 911 to report herself as drunk – USA Light News

NEILSVILLE, Wis. – The call came into the 911 dispatcher: “I don’t want to hurt anybody. I’m drunk.” And with that, Mary Strey, 49, of Granton, reported herself as a drunken driver about three miles northeast of Neilsville in central Wisconsin.
Clark County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Jim Backus said Monday that Strey’s call on Oct. 24 led deputies to cite her for misdemeanor drunken driving with a blood-alcohol level double the legal limit to drive. She makes her first court appearance Dec. 10. Read the rest of this entry »

DULUTH, Minn. – A Minnesota man has pleaded guilty to driving his motorized La-Z-Boy chair while drunk.

N.J. cops say pot plants growing on High Street

MILLVILLE, N.J. – Maybe this is why they call it High Street. Police confirm the odd-looking plants they pulled last week from a flower basket in Millville’s business district were indeed marijuana.
The plants were discovered by a passer-by. Police responded to the scene with a ladder and confiscated the 3-foot-tall plants, which were growing in a basket hanging from a lamp post. Read the rest of this entry »
