Reports that superstar Colin Farrell (33) will be snubbing next week’s Irish Film and TV Awards (IFTAs) have been rubbished.
It was claimed that despite being nominated in the Best Actor in a Lead Role category for his acclaimed stint in Neil Jordan’s Ondine, the same movie which led to him meeting partner Alicja Bachleda, he would not be attending.
However a spokesperson for the event — which takes place at the Burlington Hotel on February 20 — has said that according to the star’s agent, he is definitely attending the bash.

Colin Farrell and his girlfriend Alicja Bachleda-Curus have baptised their baby son at a quiet family ceremony in Poland.
The Dubliner and his Polish partner were joined by family and friends at the ceremony for three-month-old Henry Tadeusz Farrell in Krakow.
The couple had tried to keep secret the baptism of Henry in the Church of the Visitation of theBlessed Virgin Mary.

Farrell confronts press at premiere

Colin Farrell got into an angry confrontation with photographers at the premiere of his latest movie in Toronto today.
The actor took objection to requests from the press pen for his sister to leave the red carpet so that they had a clear shot of the star.
In a brief stand-off he went nose-to-nose with one photographer and remonstrated loudly before retaining his composure.
