‘The X Factor‘ might be over for John and Edward Grimes but life could not be looking rosier for the Dublin twins.

The pair, dubbed Jedward, look set to cash in following their success on the TV talent show and are already being touted as future stars.

Despite their sometimes off-tune performances, they managed to captivate audiences on TV3and ITV over the last two months before bidding farewell to the singing competition on Sunday night when they were voted off. But the 18-year-olds yesterday said they were “up for any challenge”.

Fans weep as Jedward make their final exit

THEIR ‘X Factor‘ dream was extinguished last night but John and Edward Grimes’ quest for stardom goes on.

Luck finally ran out for the Dublin twins (18), dubbed ‘Jedward’, after three of the four judges voted them off the popular show last night.

Only their mentor Louis Walsh supported the identical-quiffed brothers from Lucan, Dublin, whose incredible odyssey came to an end on last night’s show.

Jedward shrug off ‘X-Factor’ pressure

The singing Irish twins, known as ‘Jedward’ have done it again by easing through the latest round of ‘The X-Factor’, this time with the full approval of Simon Cowell.

Jedward ‘feeling guilt’ over Lucie

TWINS John and Edward Grimes were wracked with guilt after knocking Lucie Jones out of ‘The X Factor’, she revealed yesterday.

Welsh singer Jones (18) joined the twins, dubbed ‘Jedward’, in the bottom two in front of the biggest audience the ITV talent show has ever received.

She said the 18-year-old Irish boys, who have been criticised for their lack of singing talent, felt guilty about staying in the competition but, though she admitted to feeling “gutted” and “upset” about leaving, Jones insisted the twins deserved their place on the show.

Jones also vowed to continue with a singing career, saying: “There must be some people that like me.”

The hopeful added that her mentor Dannii Minogue had been “the best” and that she did not blame her song choice — ‘This Is Me’ from Disney film ‘Camp Rock’ — on her exit from the competition.

Jones performed the song on the film-themed episode of the competition on Saturday night, which attracted a peak audience of 13.6 million viewers. Read the rest of this entry »
